Shiva Moghaddasi has experimented different materials such as silver, wood, fibre and textile. She designs and then makes one of a kind jewelry items as body ornaments using her silver smiting skills. In fibre, she designs and weaves traditional Persian rugs for display. In other times she paints striking works on silk both for wear and display. She also designs and creates various artworks using woods from variety of trees native to Deserts, Rain forests and Steps to give her works wonderful splashes of natural colours and textures.

Shiva began exploring different types of art twenty years ago. Through the National Persian Carpet Association, she has completed her training and education in the magical world of Persian Rugs and gained valuable and in-depth knowledge of this astonishing ancient art. Her love for fibre art resulted in extraordinary 3D rug designs as well as colourful works of silk painting showcased in her recent fibre shows.

Shiva is currently working toward her future show by integrating the two amazing ancient mediums of rug & silk to create the magic of old & new. Visit my blog HERE.
